BY FOOT
Come Together Festival is approximately a 20 – 25 minute walk from Newcastle City Centre.
10 mins from site entrance – NCP Car Park Newcastle John Dobson Street
NO EVENT PARKING
There is no public car park available at the event. There are multi-story car parks available in the city centre nearby, however we would recommend booking a parking space in advance.
PICK UP / DROP OFF
Vehicle drop off and pick up is at the top of Claremont Road near Hunter’s Road, this is the only location where taxi’s, friends and family can drop off and collect you. If booking a taxi, it is recommended to pre-book to avoid wait times.
If you book a taxi via Uber, Bolt, or Blueline, you must pin the drop off or pick up location near Hunter’s Road, otherwise the driver may not be able to meet you.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
If you are travelling by public transport, please check online for service times to ensure that you allow plenty of time to get to the festival and to make the final service home.
Metro
The nearest Metro is Haymarket Station and it is approximately a 20 minute walk away from the event. Please check www.nexus.org.uk for service times. Last metro times can vary so please check this in advance.
Train Station
Newcastle Central Station is approximately a 4 minute metro ride or 11 minute bus ride from Haymarket. Please check www.thetrainline.com for service times. Last train times can vary so please check this in advance.
Bus
The city centre has multiple bus routes running from:
- Haymarket Bus Station
- Eldon Square Bus Station
- Newcastle Central Station
Apps such as Go North East, Traveline and Moovit can assist with routes and times.
BY FOOT
CONFIRMED ROAD CLOSURES
Northbound closures of the A167 (M) Central Motorway from Newbridge Street to the Great North Road will be in place on the following dates and times:
Wednesday 20th August between 00:00 – 07:00
Friday 22nd August between 00:00 – 08:00
Claremont Road, between Barras Bridge/B1318, Great North Road and Queen Victoria Road Roundabout (including Park Terrace) will be closed for a short time during the event egress to ensure customer safety on departure.
Due to multiple events taking place on Friday 22 August, West Jesmond and Ilford Road stations will be closed from 3pm until end of service. Customers are advised to use Haymarket, Jesmond or South Gosforth stations or seek other travel arrangements.
